Vaudeville Underground is pleased to be a part of the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival! Vaudeville Underground (VU) is a modern variety that features an array of artists from the Chicago area who work together to create an eclectic, dazzling and exciting show for the whole family! The producers of VU actively cultivate emerging talent by mentoring new artists, providing a safe yet challenging venue in which to develop their work, as well as ongoing feedback. The producers also actively encourage professional artists to explore artistic media outside their realm of expertise, creating opportunities for experimental, interdisciplinary work for Vaudeville Underground. For the audience, Vaudeville Underground provides a safe and fun environment to experience live performance. If you don't like what you see, wait ten-minutes. Poets, modern dancers, filmmakers, and performance artists perform right along side circus artists, jugglers, and clowns. We invite the artist and audience to enjoy all of the arts, all under one roof.
